GW Police Resources
The GW Police Department has adopted a community policing model that relies on a close and positive relationship with the students, faculty and staff on campus. The programs below are a few of the wide-range of services that aim to accomplish a diverse set of goals.
The Threat Assessment Team combines representatives from GWPD, University Counseling Center, Human Resources, Faculty, Office of General Counsel, Student Affairs and other administrative offices, in order to provide a proactive response to threats made by students, faculty, and staff. The goal is to assess threats holistically and professionally in order to protect the GW community and help individuals before threats turn into actions. All threats should be reported immediately to (202) 994-6111.
The crime and fire logs contain the records of all crimes and fires that have been reported to GWPD. They are organized chronologically and are updated on a daily basis. Paper copies of both the crime and fire logs are available upon request from GWPD and can be made in person in Rome Hall, Suite 101 during normal business hours.
