To create greater transparency and partnership between GW's student body and leadership regarding campus safety, The Division of Safety & Security introduces the Safety & Security Student Advisory Board. This advisory board will provide students the opportunity to identify campus safety concerns and provide feedback to leadership for their resolution.
The board, to consist of 10 undergraduate and graduate student members, will meet on a monthly basis. The Senior Associate Vice President for Safety & Security as well as representatives of the GW Police Department and Office of Victim Services will attend advisory board meetings to discuss with students their topics of interest.
Interested applicants are encouraged to fill out the below application, to include a statement of motivation and focus area ideas for the board's initial attention. Applications for the Safety & Security Student Advisory Board will close on September 14, 2018.
*Clean disciplanary records are required for all members and will be verified during the review process.
