Security Operations Center

The GW Security Operations Center (SOC) is dedicated to safeguarding the university’s community and physical environments through proactive monitoring, rapid emergency response, and ongoing incident support. Operating 24/7, the SOC serves as the central hub for emergency dispatch and coordination, ensuring that help is always just a call away. Our team continuously monitors campus security systems, including surveillance cameras, access controls, and alarm networks, to detect and respond to potential threats in real time. By managing physical security operations and deploying resources quickly during critical situations, the SOC works tirelessly to maintain a safe and secure environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The SOC oversees and maintains GW’s comprehensive physical security infrastructure, including CCTV systems, emergency communications infrastructure, and alarm monitoring across campus facilities. This integrated network enables real-time situational awareness and rapid response to potential safety concerns.
